DMCA policy.

StoryHQ respects copyright and expects users to upload only material they are authorized to store, review, and process. This page explains how to send copyright notices involving StoryHQ-hosted material.

01

Before sending a notice

StoryHQ is a private workspace product. Most uploaded material is not public and is accessible only to authorized workspace members. If you believe material in StoryHQ infringes your rights, your notice should include enough information for us to identify the account, workspace, project, file, report, or link at issue.

If your dispute is contractual, chain-of-title, guild-related, business-affairs-related, or about who is allowed to read a submission, a DMCA notice may not be the right tool. You should consider legal advice before sending a notice.

03

What StoryHQ may do

After receiving a complete notice, StoryHQ may remove or disable access to the identified material, notify the relevant user or workspace owner, preserve records, request additional information, or decline to act where the notice is incomplete or does not appear to relate to copyright infringement.

Because StoryHQ workspaces are private and often contain confidential pre-release material, we may take steps to avoid unnecessary disclosure of unrelated workspace information while still investigating the notice.

04

Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice. A counter-notice should include your signature, identification of the removed material, your contact information, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, and consent to the appropriate jurisdiction for the dispute.

05

Repeat infringement

StoryHQ may suspend or terminate accounts or workspaces that repeatedly infringe copyrights or repeatedly misuse the service to process material without authorization.

06

Where to send notices

Send copyright notices through the contact page with the subject “DMCA notice” and include the required information above. If a dedicated legal-notice address is established later, this page will be updated.
